FameLab is an exciting competition to find the new voices of science and engineering across the world. It was started in 2005 in the UK by Cheltenham Science Festival, in partnership with NESTA, and has quickly become established as a diamond model for successfully identifying, training and mentoring scientists and engineers to share their enthusiasm for their subjects with the public. The experience has a long lasting positive impact on the participants, who go on to take part in events, present on television and radio and undertake all sorts of public activities. FameLab was sponsored in Spain by FECYT and the British Council.
ACA 2013 Banquet Speaker, Eduardo Sáenz de Cabezón, was the winner of the 2013 Spanish edition of FameLab and became one of the finalists in the international edition.
